Description

The Merida Big Trail 500 Hardtail Mountain Bike is a fun - packed ride. It has an aggressive trail geometry and agile handling, integrating the latest bike technologies. Whether you're on steep, technical trails or fast, flowy singletracks, this bike is your perfect companion. It rolls on 29er wheels with a maximum clearance of up to 2.5'. The 61 Racelite aluminium frame has a modern trail geometry, featuring a long reach, a slack 65.5° head - angle, and a steep seat - angle. This makes it an excellent descender on root - and - rock - filled trails while still climbing impressively. It comes with RockShox 140mm travel lockout front suspension, a reliable 1x11 Shimano Deore M5100 drivetrain, and Hydraulic Disc brakes. The cables are routed through the frame, protecting them from dirt and giving the bike a smooth, clean look. There's also a Trail Mount under the seat tube, allowing you to fit two water bottles on the frame.

Using the Merida Big Trail 500 is easy. Just hop on and start pedaling! It's great for all kinds of trails, from technical ones to fast singletracks. When riding, make sure to adjust the RockShox front suspension according to the terrain. For steeper descents, you might want to keep it unlocked for better shock absorption. When climbing, lock it to save energy. As for maintenance, regularly check the brakes to ensure they're working well. Clean the drivetrain after every muddy ride to keep it running smoothly. Also, check the cables inside the frame occasionally to make sure they're not damaged. Don't forget to refill your water bottles using the two - bottle mounts under the seat tube before long rides. And always wear proper safety gear like a helmet when you're out on the trails.
